Keeping healthy starts with good eating, and good eating starts with breakfast. Loreen, Catherine and Christina live together in North-West Auckland and together they have agreed to eat health food whenever they can.
They also are commited to making a difference in how that food is prepared and how they can reduce their waste. They are all very committed to reducing the amount of plastic being sent to landfill by reusing any single use containers. They make regular visits to bulk food outlets and use the same containers each time.
And it’s not only food containers that get the re-use tick, all of their washing and cleaning containers are taken for refilling as well.
The team that works alongside them have been very supportive of the flatmates goals to reduce as much waste as possible.
Part of the reducing waste campaign, led to their better eating campaign. When they were doing their weekly shop they changed the way they looked at food packaged and began to find better ways to buy food…which resulted in their Breakfast cereal recipe that they would like to share below – enjoy!
